Ron Taylor and his family proudly call Ward 2 home, where they have built their residence and their business.

Ron has accumulated over 30 years’ worth of experience in the commercial, residential, and institutional construction industry as a skilled tradesperson, and is presently managing the design and engineering department for a local contracting company. Throughout his career, he has earned additional certifications in design, engineering, leadership, and change management, and has also earned his professional designation from the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification program.

As a volunteer, Ron is committed to giving back to the community. He sits on the Community Association’s board of directors and has previously chaired a policy committee on poverty reduction. Ron has also been an active volunteer in the soccer community as manager and coach to several teams ranging from U6 to Over-35.

When not occupied with work, he and his family can be found at the stadium taking in a game, gardening in the yard, or hiking and camping in Alberta’s pristine backcountry.

Ron is inspired by his children to reimagine a city in which we can all be proud to live and to pass down to future generations.
